Deluxe Pathfinder Pocket Hunter Kit

Product Description

Deluxe Pathfinder Pocket Hunter Kit

The Pathfinder School’s Pocket Hunter!

Roots, grubs, and cattails oh my! If you are not properly geared up, this might very well be what’s on the menu. Harvesting these items will take time and burn countless calories, neither of which you can afford, that is why you need a Pathfinder Pocket Hunter. This product was uniquely designed to convert a standard Marksman #3040 Model slingshot into a compact hunting tool capable of shooting standard size arrows for fishing and hunting. The Pocket Hunter is a sleek, compact, lightweight, and efficient hunting unit that can be folded and easily carried in a backpack, bug-out bag, survival kit, or even on your belt.

At a closer look, you will clearly see the smooth surfaces, the rounded edges, and rounded tips of the arrow rest, the 3 distinct sighting locations, thus allowing the hunter to hold the Pocket Hunter at an angle and still be able to accurately site the intended target.

The Pathfinder School recognized that carrying standard size arrows in your pack would be inconvenient, if not impossible, that is why the Pathfinder 3 piece Take Down Arrows (sold separately) are a perfect complement to the Pocket Hunter. With a 28-30lb pull at a 28 inch draw, the Pathfinder Pocket Hunter and 3 Piece Take Down Arrows are the ultimate in survival tools.

  1. Pocket Hunter Worked Well For Me

Posted by Unknown on 4th Apr 2014

Very accurate and easy to pack around and use. I made an arrow for it and harvested some legal taste four leg creature!

  2. very nice

Posted by Unknown on 11th Mar 2014

I recently bought the slingbow or pocket hunter. I gave it four stars because I have had a chance to use it yet. Other than the case it comes in I am a fan so far. The only thing I don't like about the case is it isn't molle compatible.

  3. Gonna have to get a second one

Posted by AK on 20th Feb 2014

Put about a 100 or so arrows thru it when the wife wanted to try it. Guess I need to buy another one cuz I can't get it away from her now. Haven't tried the 50 pound bands yet. Shipping was very fast. Once you figure out your method of loading the arrows its a blast. Highly recommend getting one!

  4. 40 pound draw bands used

Posted by Courtney on 19th Feb 2014

I was a bit disappointed with the 40 pound draw bands, at 10 yards a 28 inch arrow stuck into a hay bale about 4 inches. Maybe I had an unrealistic expectation of this product. But I will try out the 50 pound bands and write another review. This is not to say that I do not love the other products and highly recommend many things to my friends and family.

  5. Versital Pocket Hunter

Posted by Gary E Williams on 12th Feb 2014

I've just had this Pocket Hunter a week (It was delivered very rapidly. Thank you Dave) but it doesn't take me long to realize the "Survival" potential of this remarkable tool. I am 65 years old and use to make slingshots as a child and adolescent on the East Coast. Back then we didn't think of using slinshots for survival but knew they were advantageous for protection against stray dogs, rats and anything else that seemed to exhibit a threat. We never thought instruments that were very crudely made (wire hangers and rubberbands with the pouch being mand from the tongue of an old shoe) could have such potential. Dave I must thank you and your family for bringing the potential of the simple slingshot to light for so many. I've found it to be very accurate with practice, strong and capable of being an important asset to any survival rig. It's not only fun but can be lifesaving because of it's capability to harvest small medium sized game plus fish, how unique. Just ordered the heavy duty bands so I can expand my lifesaving chances. A tip for all "Practice Practice Practice) Thanks Dave.

  6. Works well at intended distance

Posted by greg on 8th Feb 2014

I am still having difficulty placing the arrow in the pouch and arrow rest in a consistent spot. Shooting at 7 yards I was pretty accurate though.

  7. This is so cool.

Posted by Terry Jablonski on 7th Feb 2014

Being a hard core bow hunter with multipal bows and cross bow, I came across the pocket hunter from an e mail from the pathfinder school. I thought wow, this is neat. Already having 3 great slingshots I thought I would try the pocket hunter out. I got the deluxe model. My boys and I went out to our range and started flinging all different kinds of arrows and bolts. With a little training we were hitting everything in sight with normal arrows. Now the bolts are a different story. We could shoot them but not very far or with force. So I came up with the idea of taking the extra band and cut 4 inches off each end. For a 20 inch bolt it works alot better. Now I need some bands to experiment with this thought. Over all this is a great product. Why didnt anyone think of this before. Kudos to you Dave. Big Fan.

  8. Great system!

Posted by Mat on 24th Jan 2014

Got this in the mail last week and tried it out. I was getting good groupings with some arrows I had even though I was using veined arrows. My draw is about 32 in. and was worried about the band breaking on me because of other reviews but so far there is no slippage or damage to the bands after about 100 shots. The pouch that comes with this is nice and sturdy. The only changes I would make to this package is including the heavier 50 lb. band instead of another standard 42lb. band. Over all this is a great system.

  9. Pocket Hunter Slingshot

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Jan 2014

Works very well and is accurate. Great for hunting small game or shooting targets. Only problem is that the bowfishing line mount has a cap on the end that is VERY hard to get off even with pliers.

  10. Oh what fun!

    Posted by G3 on 3rd Jan 2014

I have always loved a good wrist rocket. Now to be able to sling arrows as well is mindblowing. Love the fact that the handle folds up for ease of storage in a pack. This will be headed out on my next trek.
